Navigating family and caregivers’ challenges in the home health setting is critical for preceptors and clinical managers. These interactions can become complex due to varying perspectives, emotional responses, and differing expectations regarding patient care. Effective communication and collaboration between healthcare providers and family members are essential, yet misunderstandings and conflict often strain them. These challenges present a learning opportunity for mentees when preceptors and clinical managers are equipped with the strategies to blend managing challenges and providing space for learning. This course is designed to equip home health preceptors and clinical managers with the skills to effectively balance these two areas to enhance their ability to foster positive relationships with families and caregivers while providing optimal learning.
